Quickly output collected data to Excel and text file format spreadsheets....

HyperWare includes additional post-data logging processing options including logged data conversion to columnated ASCII (text) files and direct output to the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format. Logged and downloaded data can even be algebraically and statistically manipulated during the file conversion step.

Using an icon based programming methodology similar to that used for programming the logger, file conversion programs (see file conversion icon network below) can be quickly and easily configured. With this capability, it is simple to extract the data desired on a channel by channel basis for conversion into various spreadsheet files.

In the file conversion process, data contained within a Logic Beach data logger download file is converted into various User defined spreadsheet formats. In the above file conversion network...

	Icons representing channels of data collected by the logger and downloaded to a file on the PC are represented on the left with Memory / Data icons.
	A Destination File icon is then added on the right. The Memory icons representing channels of data that are in the logged data file are then connected to the Destination File icon. The format of the Destination File to be generated is User specified by double-clicking on the Destination File icon and selecting one of the supported formats.
	Optionally, data channels can be connected through any desired intermediate processing icons such as the Math icon which results in a calculated differential temperature channel
	or the Average Calculation icon before sending the statistically or algebraically manipulated data to the Destination File / Spreadsheet Output file icon

After conversion of the logged data file to an Excel spreadsheet file (or other format), the file can be opened and analyzed and/or graphed further from within Excel. Date, Time and channel data (as well as calculated channel data in this example) are all displayed as shown in the following screen capture of actual converted data in Excel.
