Conditional Recording on Temperature and ON Time Data Logging

Overview

The following program NET samples two thermocouple inputs and records the temperatures only when they exceed a set point. It is also assumed that when the temperature exceeds the set point that a burner is on and this ON time is also recorded to memory.

Details

The sample rate clock samples two thermocouples every five minutes. The temperatures are sent to probe points for real-time viewing, memory icons for recording and to a comparator. The temperatures are compared to the constant (K) of 1000'F. When either temperature exceeds 1000 degrees the comparator turns ON and enables the memory icon and allows the data to be stored in memory. A time data stamp will appear with each data sample. The Constant can be programmed with any value.

The comparators also feed an OR gate allowing either ON signal from the comparator to trigger the stop watch icon. The stop watch icon will return the number of seconds either temperature was greater than 1000F. The seconds are summed, converted to minutes and stored to memory.
