Logic Beach offers two inexpensive, wide input range, low-power humidity sensing transducers that are compatible with our data logging instruments as well as other instrumentation.
The RH-1A model contains a rugged capacitive humidity sensing element that can measure RH from 0 to 98%. The RHT-1A model has the same humidity sensing capability but also features a temperature sensor for temperature measurement from -10 to 60C.
Both models are the same physcial cylindrical shape and come standard with an M8 connector on the end of the transducer body. A mating m8 connector with 12” cable (pigtail termination) is provided standard. An optional 9 ft cable with M8 connector is available.
The humidity sensing element is specified for 2 year stabiltiy and the complete element is simply replaced if damaged and/or for field calibration. The humidity element is protected from dirt and grit by an integral membrane filter and can withstand direct immersion, returning to factory specifications after drying.

The transducers provide a linear Vdc output corresponding to 0 to 100% relative humidity. The RHT-1A includes a second linear Vdc output corresponding to -10 to 60C. These Vdc output signals can be directly connected to analog inputs on the Logic Beach data logging instruments. Scaling and other desired data calculations are readily handled in the programming of the logger using the powerful HyperWare™ software.
The transducers can be powered from a DC source in the range of 7 to 28Vdc and stabilize in 150mS. Due to its quick stabilization after power-up, the unit can be powered on just prior to taking a reading, sampled, then powered off to conserve logger battery energy. In many applications, the transducer can be directly powered from the logger system batteries (optionally switched through a logger output relay) or from a PSM-2 Power Supply Module in conjunction with any of the Logic Beach data logging systems.
