SAS-10 Thermistor Probe

Description:

The SAS-10 thermistor probe is an inexpensive leaded probe for general temperature measurement in the -20 to +150C (-4 to 302F) approximate temperature range. The sensing element's (thermistor) resistance decreases as the sensed temperature increases... in a non-linear but predictable and repeatable curve.
The SAS-10 consists of a thermistor sensor potted into a 0.3" diameter copper lug and provided with a 10' twisted pair of Teflon leads. The copper lug has a flattened end and mounting hole. The copper lug is soft and can readily be surface mounted with a screw or clamped with a hose clamp onto a pipe.

See the Data Loggeyr Selection Guide for help with locating the appropriate instrument for your inputs.

Data logger Interface:

The SAS-10 can be directly connected to the ModuLogger MLIM-4 and HyperLogger™ HLIM-4 Interface Modules. These standard modules provide the excitation for the sensor as well as automatic linearization for the sensor... providing a direct reading in DegC or DegF.

Additionally, both the HyperLogger™ and ModuLogger System Bases include a Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) channel that is required only when thermocouple channels are utilized. In the event that thermocouple inputs are not used in the logger application, the SAS-10 can be directly wired to the CJC channel and temperatures in the range of freezing to boiling can be read with good accuracy.
